Those of you who have been following along for awhile know that I’m going through the conversion process so that I can join the Conservative synagogue here in Chattanooga. It was very important to me to do this in my home synagogue with a rabbi who would affirm that neither I, nor they, saw this process as calling into question the Jewishness of the rest of my family—I see it simply as making a choice so that I can become an active member of the community in the city where I now live. And Rabbi Bob has been great! Listen in as we discuss the process, I learn a little history, and we discuss my progress.
